Eligible electors of Area A -Mill Bay/Malahat, are advised of an alternative approval opportunity for the adoption of CVRD Bylaw No. 3634. If adopted, Bylaw No. 3634 will authorize the CVRD to increase the maximum requisition limit from $2,000 to $5,000 to assist with costs associated with providing critical streetlighting with the whole of Electoral Area A. The maximum cost to residential property owners within the service area with a residential property assessed at $100,000 will be $0.50 per annum. The CVRD may adopt this bylaw unless at least 10% (325) of eligible electors within the service area indicate that a referendum must be held by submitting a signed original Elector Response Form to the Regional District office no later than 4:30 pm on Monday, November 26, 2012.
