Look for paint products that use environmentally-friendly products and containers. There are some paints that use clay and natural oils as a base, instead of petroleum. Oil paints made from linseed oil and turpentine can reduce your carbon footprint.
Find ways to use your leftover paint. Ask family and friends if they will use it or use leftover paint for home improvement or craft projects.
PaintRecycle offers a recycling program for paint & containers. CVRD Recycling Centres and other participating facilities can be found on the map above.
CVRD facilities accept all full or empty residential paint cans (maximum 23L/5gal) and paint aerosols (maximum 660g/24oz) per day for free.
