The Meade Creek Recycling Centre permanent facility is opening on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 8855 Youbou Road in Lake Cowichan. The new facility will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer. The facility serves residents of Lake Cowichan, Youbou, Honeymoon Bay, Caycuse and Skutz Falls. The Meade Creek Recycling Centre will provide options for recycling over 650 items. Providing CVRD residents and businesses with convenient, local access to drop-off recycling facilities across the region is an important part of our zero waste mandate. The new site is designed to reduce traffic congestion, provides state of the art weigh scale technology and offers one of the broadest ranges of recycling options in the Province.
Temporary Site Location
The temporary Meade Creek site location at 8800 North Shore Road, Lake Cowichan, wiill remain open until Wednesday, May 30, 2018. The temporary site hours of operation are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
