Barefoot in the Park 2017 Report

Health and safety is paramount in our communities and to ensure that citizens are not exposed to the hazards of needles and other dangerous objects a strategy was developed to increase safe needle disposal in the community. As a result, a Safe Needle Disposal Tool Kit addresses the following goals:

•           To raise community awareness about safety
•           To reduce the number of discarded needles on our streets and public places
•           To reduce risk and prevent injury to the public
•           To provide options for the safe disposal of needles

The tool kit includes specific information about new disposal locations including health and safety information and within the PDF link below.
