Fitness and Drop-in Program Schedule's The Shawnigan Lake Communtiy Centre offers a variety of Drop-in programs and Fitness classes.
Stretch and Strength Fitness ClassThese motivating fitness classes will increase your stamina and flexibility while incorporating aerobic movements, balance and strength training. Class finishes off with a relaxing breathing and stretching. Classes are offered on an ongoing basis Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings. Cost is $5 Drop-in or 8 class Punch Card $35.
There are no classes on stat holidays. Please check with the office for other cancellation dates.
Mom and Tot Fitness Class
Join us on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for this 60 minute fitness class that includes cardio, strength training, body sculpting, core and yoga that allows participation with babies or tots. Come have fun and meet other mom's in your community while getting in shape. Punch passes are available for this program for your convenience.
Come out to the gym Tuesday and Thursday mornings and meet other parents in your community at this action filled drop-in program. We set up the gym with a variety of equipment and balls and you play with your child. This program is for children 4 and under, parents or caregivers must accompany children at all times. Punch passes are available for this program for your convenience.
Drop-in Floor Hockey
If you love to play hockey and can't seem to get enough then join us in the gym on Wednesdays for some non-competitive floor hockey. All you need to bring is your energy and enthusiasm. This drop-in program is designed for children aged 7 - 11 years.
Friday Games Night
Friday nights come join our energetic leaders for a fun night in the gym playing organized games such as British bull dog, capture the flag and more. This program is for children aged 7 - 11 years.
Drop-in Indoor Soccer
If you are looking to get in shape and play some indoor soccer then join us in the gym Sunday nights for men's soccer and Tuesday nights for co-ed soccer. This is a great time to work on your footwork and ball skills while working up a sweat.
