Boil Water Advisory Mesachie Lake Water Systems Users

Due to a recent sampling result, the CVRD and Island Health are instituting a boil water advisory for the Mesachie Lake Water System effective immediately. Also, the CVRD will initiate temporary chlorination of the water system as a precautionary measure to ensure a potable water supply.

All water used for domestic purposes (eg drinking, cooking and brushing teeth) should be brought to a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute.

This boil water notice will remain in effect until the Vancouver Island Health Authority notifies the CVRD the water is acceptable for domestic use.

Should you have any questions, please contact the CVRD Engineering Department at 250.746.2530 during regular daytime business hours.

Information is also available at Vancouver Island Health Authority.
