Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment

Fire Rescue Departments Collaborate – Communities Helping Communities

Duncan, BC - Six volunteer fire departments catch the vision “Communities Helping Communities” in a unique collaboration to recruit, train and retain firefighters within the Cowichan Valley Regional District. Volunteer fire rescue departments are working together to raise awareness of the need for dedicated, keen, volunteers who have the time and commitment to become well-trained and provide this essential service to their communities.

Annual recruitment drive open house

Date: Saturday, September 17
Time: 12 to 4 pm
Location: Mesachie Lake Fire Hall, 9295 Carlton Road, Mesachie Lake

Interested individuals are invited to attend the open house to ask questions, receive information and hear firsthand accounts of how rewarding it can be to volunteer.

Light BBQ and refreshments will be served.
