Cowichan Lake Sports Arena Curling Facility Review Project
Lake Cowichan, BC – The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) is conducting a review of the curling facility at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena (also called the Cowichan Rocks Curling Rink).
The project will help identify the viability of curling in the area and region, levels of satisfaction with current recreational opportunities at the facility and future opportunities / options for the facility that make the best use of the curling rink space.
Residents can provide feedback and share their viewpoints in a number of ways throughout November:
In addition to the engagement opportunities identified above, the project team will be consulting with facility stakeholders and members of the curling community. Research and analysis is also being undertaken into trends, leading practices, current facility operations (utilization, revenues and expenditure, etc.) and local market area characteristics. This information will be used along with the engagement findings to develop the options and recommendations that will be provided in the final study document.
The project is scheduled for completion in December and will provide the CVRD with a resource that can inform future actions, initiatives and decision making on the facility. Additional information on the project, including a project FAQ, can be found at www.cvrd.bc.ca/Cowichan-Lake-Curling..
